Remember the free bag of candy corn I got at CVS last month? Since my daughters have been inundated with candy lately, I hadn’t yet surprised them by putting a small bag of it in their lunch boxes.
It’s a rare occurrence for me – but inspiration hit over the weekend!
Saturday marked two weeks until we leave for our long-awaited Walt Disney World trip. Not that we need much to increase our anticipation, but I thought it would be fun to make a “count-down” game for the girls. I’m putting a small plastic bag of the candy corn in our daughters’ lunch each day; it contains the number of candy corn that correspond to how many days we have left until we leave for our trip. It will be a “sweet” way to brighten each day as well as help them look forward to what’s coming!
