I was convicted by this sermon. Pastor Kevin Queen asks what is distracting us from the race we’re called to run. It’s a great listen any time, but especially as we’re moving into this new year. The link above takes you to an option to listen online, but you’ll find it in most podcast apps as well.
My younger daughter wanted this small blender to take back to college with her this semester. She tried it out at home and it’s powerful and easy to use and clean.
My husband’s office is in the front of our house and can be cold in the mornings, so he ordered this space heater. We’ve also used it in our sunroom and it heats the spaces nicely.
My older daughter, who’s married, enjoys using recipes from cookbooks to try new meals. We bought her this cookbook for Christmas. I scanned some of the recipes and they sounded really good and fairly easy to make. She’s already made a few of them and said she and her husband enjoyed them.
This is a cute, easy-to-read novel that I enjoyed. While there’s a little bit of romance, much of the story has to do with the main character learning more about herself and what she really wants in life.
In a recent blog post, I mentioned the book Acts of God: Why Does God Allow So Much Pain? by Bob Russell. If you’re looking for a book to encourage you spiritually, this is an excellent choice.
Be sure to share any fun finds you’ve come across lately!
