Saturday Salutes ~ Fighting Fearful Thoughts and Sharing Jesus with Your Kids

April 13, 2019 by Tracey 4 Comments

After a week off from sharing any personal pictures, I’m back with a photo of our oldest daughter before her Junior~Senior Banquet last Friday.

Then this past week we were in Greenville, SC, for a national fine arts competition with their school. Their band won first place!! This is the second piece they played – Avalanche by Jonathan McBride – and is probably my favorite song they’ve ever performed.

Our girls play saxophones, so they’re hidden in the second row.

I’m telling you, literally every week brings some “last” moment or event for our graduating senior…but I’ll not go down that emotionally-charged road today!

Here are some good posts I read this week.

Anna shares ideas on How to Ease Tension in Your Home.

Jenn gives us 5 Everyday Ways to Share Jesus with Your Kids.

Michelle tells us How to Fight Fearful Thoughts and Win.

Sarah Joy’s Cottage Style Kids Bedroom is just adorable!!

There’s a bunch of helpful resources in Michelle’s and Annie’s list of Simple Steps to Get Ridiculously Organized for a Stress-Free Summer.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

What a beautiful picture of your daughter! I can only imagine how it feels to experience so many “lasts,” but you seem to be handling it well. I think by the time my last child experiences all of her “lasts,” I will just be glad to be done with it all. (Not with all of them, my children, though!)

I enjoyed the posts, especially the one about using everyday moments to teach our children about Jesus.

Thank you! 🙂 Honestly, all these lasts are going by so quickly, it’s almost like I don’t quite have time to take it all in. I’m certainly trying to be “in the moment” and I know we’re making lots of good memories!

Just hopped on here to check the blog, and even though I just texted you, thought I’d take the opportunity to say Happy Birthday here as well!! Thankful for the chance to get to know (and meet!) you!

GORGEOUS banquet pic!!! & congratulations on 1st place! 🎉

I liked the easing tension article, but you know one thing I have a hard time with? Laughing at myself!

Obviously “How To Fight Fearful Thoughts and Win” was a PERFECT refresher for me right now as we still wait to hear anything back re: last week’s interview…
