I loved following Christina’s project Old Entertainment Center Turned American Girl Dollhouse.
Last weekend I mentioned that our younger daughter played her last JV Girls basketball game. Here she is scoring; she’s number 10 in the white uniforms.
I also talked about it being Senior night for our older daughter. It was her last regular season home game. Here she is shooting two free throws. Later in the game, she hit a three-pointer (when I wasn’t videoing, of course) and she was so excited!!
Here she is after the game with the other three Seniors on the team. Yes, she’s the shortest one!

Last night we drove to Columbia, SC to watch her last regular season away basketball game. So hard to believe that this part of her life is coming to a close!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
I can’t imagine what it’s like to be so close to having your children out of your house. I can only imagine that it is extremely bittersweet to watch them spreading their wings, so to speak.
I really enjoyed the first post about creating a home of warmth and grace. I’ve heard those pointers before, but I can always use the reminder. I find that the more clutter I have in my life, whether stuff around the house or things to do, the less warmth and grace I have to pour into my home.
The American Girl dollhouse is adorable! I wish I had the time and inclination to do projects like that.
My sister is short, too, but was an amazing basketball player. 🙂
Bittersweet is definitely the word!! Normally January feels like the loooongest month, but this year I’ve been sad to see it go! I know that each month from here on out will hold some “lasts” so I’m trying to be “in the moment” for each one.
I so admire the creativity that went into that dollhouse!! I don’t want to say that I couldn’t do that, but, like you, I don’t typically have the inclination to…and it would be a major stretch out of my comfort zone!
Awwww! Sooo heartstring pulling!!!!! Love seeing them in action!
