Lots of good parenting help in a recent podcast from Focus on the Family. Guest Cynthia Tobias talks about Surviving the Strong-Willed Child Part 1 and Part 2.
I enjoy following Sarah from Little Vintage Nest on Instagram. This week she did a quick trip to Michael’s and shared five really easy ideas for fall decorating. And trust me, if I say they’re easy, they’re easy!!
Stacy’s Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles sounds like the perfect dish to serve whenever we finally get some fall weather here!
Shared this on Instagram this week.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
These were sooo good re: managing expectations!
Loved “What matters & what doesn’t?”
Re: Date Night – “If you want my personal opinion, the idea that you HAVE to go out every single week in order to keep your marriage strong is actually a harmful idea” = YESYESYES!!! This was SUCH a negative pressure on my heart the first decade of our marriage, until I decided to trust our relationship over conventional wisdom.
When our girls were little, we definitely didn’t get many date nights ~ yet we’ve made it 27 years so far, praise the Lord 😉
Now the difficulty with scheduling a date night is not that we need a babysitter, but that we have to find nights when our kids aren’t involved in some kind of activity. I’m guessing you can identify! 😉
I enjoyed reading about what matters most as a mother, and I appreciated the lack of guilt about not having a weekly date night. Who can afford that anyway? 😉
That recipe looks easy and delicious, a great combination! I’m not going to wait until fall to make it because we may never get any fall weather! 🙂
I checked our forecast this morning, and we’ve still got a 90-degree day this week, so I need not wait for fall to try “fall” recipes, either!!
