Saturday Salutes ~ Welcome to February (and a Cheer Video)

February 3, 2018 by Tracey 8 Comments

I needed to read Kristen’s encouraging parenting advice in Doing What Is Right Instead of What Is Easy.

Sarah Ann has 7 Habits of a Healthy Marriage.

Leslie gives us 10 Tips for Quick and Easy Meal Planning.

We’re way past the picture book stage, but if you’re still in the thick of it, Joy lists 26 Favorite Winter Picture Books.

Beth tells us Why I Don’t Do Crafts with my Kids.

This is a cute Valentine’s Day Bingo Game that you can play with the Sweethearts conversation candy hearts.

And here’s a cheer video from a basketball game last week.  (Our younger daughter is on the varsity cheerleading team at her school.  She goes up in the first stunt.)  If you’re reading via email, click here to view the video.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Watching the cheer was fun! Your daughter did a great job with her stunt; I would have been terrified! 🙂

I enjoyed Kristen’s post about doing what is right instead of what is easy. It doesn’t matter how old your children are, it’s still a struggle.

Thank you – she’s pretty brave when it comes to that kind of stuff. They have their annual cheer competition in a couple of weeks. It’s just the schools in the state organization that our school is part of (and not all of those schools have cheerleading squads, so it’s a fairly small competition), but she’s excited about it.

Any cheer “praise” means a lot coming from you!!! 🙂 They’re working on their state competition routine now, and I got to see a sneak peek of it on Saturday. They compete later this month, so we’re hoping and praying that it comes together and goes smoothly for them!
