Saturday Salutes ~ Reading Tips and a New Soup Recipe

January 20, 2018 by Tracey 5 Comments

Marci shares some tips for Starting Your Day with Jesus.

Elizabeth lists 5 Life Lessons Only Motherhood Could Have Taught Me.

Jennifer reminds us We Are His Masterpiece.

Joel gives us 10 Rules to Read More Books This Year.

We’ve had quite the cold spell here lately, and I’ve been craving soups and stews for supper.  I found a winner when I tried this Cheesy Southwest Chicken Soup!!  The soup was creamy, with just a little kick – not too spicy.  I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day.  I’ll definitely be making this again!

Since next Saturday is the last one in January, I’ll be sharing the books I’ve read so far this month.  If I apply the reading rules above, maybe I can get through more books this week!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Oh my goodness, Tracey, thank you SO much for including my post in today’s roundup! I am truly so humbled and honored, especially since that piece is particularly dear to my heart. Thank you, lovely lady. Now, about that soup!!! I am totally making that this week. 🙂

I loved Elizabeth’s post, especially number three about how a mother’s mood can set the whole family tone. And in the rules for reading more books, maybe I’ll start carrying one with me everywhere although I honestly done have much time waiting for children since I don’t drop them off anywhere and then have to pick them back up. But it’s something to think about. 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words, both here and on my blog, Nikki! I have to tell, I learn that lesson about #3 again and again. Sometimes, I wish it wasn’t quite so true. With great opportunity comes great responsibility. Yet what an opportunity it is! I so appreciate you taking time to read this post and to comment both here and there. Bless you!
