I listened to what is now one of my favorite episodes of one of my favorite podcasts this week – Episode 86 of The Big Boo Cast. I understand that not everyone gets Sophie’s and Melanie’s humor, but this episode had me laughing out loud more than once!
We spent Thanksgiving Day with my husband’s family in Georgia. About fifteen minutes after getting home, my daughters were ready to hit Black Friday sales, so back in the car we went! My younger daughter and I went shopping for a few hours yesterday as well. We also bought our Christmas tree, so it’s sitting in the living room, ready to be decorated. That – and working through an overflowing laundry basket – will take up a big part of our weekend.
Hope you thoroughly celebrated Thanksgiving and are ready to move into the Christmas season!
“Three Ways To Be More Grateful This Season” was such a great reminder! “WHY PRAY?” too.
I enjoyed Kristen’s post about being more grateful this season. Couldn’t we all use a little more gratefulness? 😉
And Ruth’s post about creating a home of warmth and grace was jam-packed full of great suggestions and practical advice.
I’m not quite ready for Christmas yet, but I don’t think Advent has officially started, either. Next week, maybe? 🙂
Yes, as I mentioned in today’s post, I’m finally getting into the Christmas season – which is as it should be, now that Thanksgiving has passed 😉
We got our Christmas tree up on Sunday, and my husband’s put up the outdoor lights and decorations. Still haven’t gotten a lot of presents bought, but that will come in time!
