Valerie tells us 5 Ways to Remember to Pray for Someone.

Michelle lists 11 Ways to Help Our Boys Become Responsible Men.

Marci talks about Cultivating Beauty in Your Home.

Ellen has 10 Bible Memory Tips That Won’t Take All Day.

So I’m not hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, but if you are, Leslie has 10 Stress-Free Tips for Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner.

Jen has a simple recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes.  I think these might be on the breakfast menu for this weekend!  (She includes a recipe for homemade syrup as well, but I’d just stick with real maple syrup.)

Our daughters participated in a school concert on Tuesday night.  It was basically “practice” for a fine arts competition they’ll be attending next week.  Here’s our younger daughter performing one of her solo pieces.  [If you’re reading in e-mail, click over to the blog to watch the video.]

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Completely agree with the article on raising our boys to become men.
“Cultivating Beauty in Your Home” was a strong word for me!!! “It is pretty hypocritical to greet outsiders with more graciousness than our own families” = WHOA!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!

And WELL DONE!!! Your youngest did an absolutely stunning job in that video clip! Thank you so much for sharing that! It was so beautiful!!!

Awwww, thank you, Sues!! She performs it in competition tomorrow, so praying that she does well – and just enjoys herself as she plays!

I’m finally getting to this post after a busy weekend and week. 🙂

Your daughter did a lovely job on the piano; I hope she did as well (or better!) in her competition!

Raising boys into men is a big responsibility in our culture that disparages men and encourages them to remain adolescent. Thanks for linking to these tips!

I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner, so I appreciated these tips!

Thanks for the kind words about my daughter! She played well at the competition, but didn’t make it into the final round. However, she is just a freshman (it’s a high school competition) so it was great experience for her!

I know you’ll be a great Thanksgiving hostess!!!
