Took this photo earlier this week behind our minor league baseball stadium. So many beautiful views in Charleston!
This past week has been full of getting ready for our girls to go back to school, and having new carpet put down in our three bedrooms.
It actually worked out as a great way to end the summer! Since everything had to be moved out of those rooms, we had a chance to really clean and organize those spaces. (Okay, maybe my girls didn’t think it was such a fine way to end the summer – but I did take them for back-to-school pedicures yesterday!)
Here are some helpful posts I’ve found lately.
Katie shares What I Almost Missed at 7:56.
Sally writes about Making Choices That Invest in Eternity.
Christy talks about Growing Old and Fat with a Side of Happy.
If keeping up with the laundry has you flustered, Shannon has 6 Routines for Getting the Laundry Done.
Kathie tells us How to Stay Connected to Your Teen.
Can I just say we need this in our house at times? Lisa lists 3 Steps to Battle Bickering.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
You found a bunch of great links this week! I especially enjoyed the 7:56 one. I like the one about growing old, too. I decided years ago that my body has borne babies, and it’s not going to look like it used to, and I’m fine with that! I don’t have a teen — yet — but I appreciated her advice. And I’m definitely going to give her tips for stopping bickering a try!
Glad you found them helpful!! Dare I say it again – that I’m hoping to get back to more regular posting when the girls start back to school next week?? 😉 Time will tell!
What a stunning photo, Tracey! When I first saw it, I thought I was looking at a shot of the marsh behind the Cape Cod vacation rental cottage my girls and my parents and I just left! Blessings to you and your family as another school year gets underway! And, no: you are not the only house that sees its share of bickering. 😉
Hope you and your family have a great beginning to the school year as well!! Guessing this is a start to a new season for you – is your oldest starting college soon??
Yes, Tracey, you are so sweet to ask: it is indeed a new season! My oldest does start college soon. She is commuting to a lovely private Christian university just 45 minutes and an easy drive from home, so I have been spared the emotional parting I know many college parents face. For us, it is all excitement and anticipation for what God has in store for her at this place that is so very right for her. Blessings on your end-of-summer activities, my friend!
