Kari has 20 Tips to Help Your Teen Use Social Media Wisely.  (Just between us, I bought both of Kari’s books – 10 Ultimate Truths Girls Should Know and Liked: Whose Approval Are You Living For? for my teenage daughters for Christmas.  I’ve flipped through the books, and am very excited to get them into the hands of my girls.)

I was trying to use up some marshmallows and found this recipe for Hot Chocolate Cookies.  They were so good!

We spent much of Thanksgiving week in the Smoky Mountains, and were saddened to hear about the wildfires that came through that area after we left.  Continue to pray for those who lost homes and businesses there.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Whoa!!! 4 Holiday Tips: "If you are the elder visiting your adult kids, don’t go with your own plan as to how you will “help.” What looks like help to you may not be what your kids call help." I wish both sets of our parents would have done this early on, and I pray SO HARD that I *WILL* do this when we go to Will & Annelise in the future! I'm also very big on some planned specific fun, which doesn't always jive with what my mom would prefer: she would rather us all just sit on the couch together the whole time and make spontaneous fun & memories. That doesn't work anymore, because when everyone is just sitting around doing nothing, everyone is looking down at their phones. I love having plans to look forward to!

Cute Advent ideas! & totally agree on the things our kids don't need for Christmas! Quality social media tips, and those cookies look divine!

Yes, I'm hoping that I'll be that mom that really is a "help" in the way my kids want/need. And I'm like you – I love having plans to look forward to!!

I loved the last minute advent ideas; I may have to use one since I, um, kind of forgot to plan anything. 🙂

Ten things our kids don't need — definitely!

That picture is beautiful, and it is heartbreaking to hear what's going on in the Smoky Mountains.
