Today it’s time to work together for a sweet outcome!
When our children are little, it sometimes doesn’t seem worth the mess they make while “helping” us to involve them in working in the kitchen. However, I’ve made some fond memories with my girls as we’ve baked and cooked together.
My daughters are old enough now to bake most things by themselves, but it’s still fun to work together in the kitchen – especially now that they’re good at cleaning up, too! We have a tradition of making these Christmas cookies together every year.
Our younger daughter enjoys baking more than our older daughter does, and she’s always willing to try new recipes. One of her specialties is this apple pie. She also makes amazingly delicious homemade biscuits! Since my older daughter likes pumpkin pie, I think I could have her help me with that. It’s a pretty simple, straightforward recipe.
(I’ve actually already made three of them this month!!)
What do your children like to bake with you in the kitchen?

My children love to help me bake! They don't really care what. The problem is that there are four of them, so it gets a little crowded around the mixer. Lately, I haven't done much baking because I had an aversion to sweets during my first trimester, and I haven't really had the energy lately. But I plan to do some before Christmas! Yum!
Wow – an aversion to sweets – didn't know there could be such a thing!!! (ha ๐ I am sure it does get crowded with four helpers!
Now *THIS* is a HUGE love language for me & Annelise!!! ๐
