It’s What Dads Are Made Of

Start with a heaping cup of love.

Toss with equal parts patience and wisdom.

Mix in two tablespoons of heroism and two more of hard work.

Blend with answers to off-the-wall questions, the ability to fix anything that breaks, and willingness to play dolls or trucks, as the situation dictates.

Add a scoop of self-sacrifice, the ability to drive long distances without falling asleep, and sprinkle in a sense of humor to taste.

Top with bedtime hugs and tickles, cover generously with heartfelt prayers, then bake for a lifetime.

And to a man who’s a prize-winner in this recipe category….

Happy Birthday, Dad!
