While I want to soak in all of November without jumping ahead to December, I am taking note of these 25 Christmas Traditions from Desiree and Liza’s 125 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for All Ages.
I used my slow cooker three times this week. With afternoon sports practices for both girls, it’s so nice to come home and have supper ready. Monday night I made Christy’s Taco Soup. It’s not specifically a slow cooker recipe, but I put all the ingredients in the slow cooker, let it cook for the three hours we were gone, and it was perfect. Changes I made (as always!) were to use half kidney beans and half black beans instead of all kidney beans. I also substituted frozen corn for canned and added a little extra water to make it soupier – and to dilute a bit of the saltiness. Even though I used beans I cooked myself instead of canned beans, I think the two seasoning mixes added a good bit of salt.
I think I could curl up in this chair with a good book and stay there for hours! (Love the other photos of this room, too. From Lauren at The Endearing Home.)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I try to have margins in all my days, and I hate the days when I don't! (Okay, hate may be a little too strong, but you know what I mean.) I enjoyed reading about the Christmas traditions since I'm looking to add a couple to our family this year.
I feel trapped when I don't have margins. Definitely a requirement for me, too! 🙂
