I tried a new Sweet Potato Casserole recipe this week and it was very good!
Jennifer has Advent Ideas for the entire family.
Ashley shares a cute S’Mores Gift Bag.
From Ann’s post on The Grateful Christmas Project, I love the idea of having our children create a “giving” list. Ann says,
“Spend quiet time with each of the kids thinking and planning on what they can give
and how they can be the gift, give a blessing — so that they can live
out the truth of: It is more blessed to give than to receive. What can they make? Bake? Create? How could they surprise? Bless? Who is on their Giving list? Let’s focus on our Giving Lists — and not so much on any getting lists.”
This pretty Christmas tablescape from Style Estate looks easy enough for me to do!

Both of our daughters have birthdays next week, so we have lots of celebrating to do in December! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Wow! Two birthdays this month? You do have a lot of celebrating to do this month! We only have one, and Mary is really looking forward to turning three! Do you celebrate half-birthdays? We try to, since so many of our children's birthdays are close to Christmas: December, January, and February.
John loves sweet potato casserole (and so do I!), and the recipe I use is very similar to yours. Thanks for the link to all of the Advent ideas!
Yes – our older daughter turns 14 on December 1st and our younger daughter turns 12 on December 3rd. My mom and sister-in-law also have December birthdays, along with a few other extended family members. Fun times!!
We don't typically celebrate half-birthdays, but I think that's a neat idea!!
