Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2013 by Tracey 8 Comments

Our 3rd annual Christmas Craft and Baking Day was a big success!

The cake balls were delicious and the Construction Paper Wreaths and Christmas Baubles turned out really well.

On Monday, my stopped-up kitchen sink sent the girls into “old-fashioned” mode.  They decided to hand wash our breakfast dishes in a bucket of soapy water outside on the patio. Then they expanded the idea and hand washed some of their doll clothes and hung them on a clothesline they created.  Thankfully it was a very warm day!

Last night, we celebrated Christmas Eve with our usual traditions.

I wanted to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and thank you for taking the time to read here at Girls to Grow.  I have been so blessed by you and hope your homes are filled with peace and joy today as we commemorate the birth of our Saviour.

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” ~Matthew 1:23

    Dear Tracey,

I wanted to stop over and wish you a very blessed Christmas and New Year ahead!!! I've been out of the bloggy world for months now, but the Lord brings you to mind! =) Just wanted to let you know that all the encouragement from God's Word you've given in this place has been such a blessing to me over the last few years. I miss blog reading/writing, but for now, I'm in a season of quiet. =) Just wanted to let you know how much your friendship has meant and that I continue to pray for you and your family.

Praying you all are well as you celebrate God's greatest gift!

    Blessings,
    Katie

      Katie,

So good to hear from you, my friend!! We just returned last night from visiting my family in VA for Christmas. It was a great trip; we got to spend time with lots of family and are feeling truly blessed. Your words of encouragement are yet another blessing for which I'm truly thankful.

I hope you and your family had a nice Christmas as well! Pray that this time of year finds you all well and looking forward to 2014 as we are! I've already begun praying for God's wisdom and guidance for different decisions that will need to be made in the coming months and look forward to seeing how He will work. I trust that this "season of quiet" for you is just what you need and that the new year will find all of you in His will and care.

Thanks again for letting me hear from you – and for the gift of your friendship!

Just got back in town from visiting family this afternoon and wanted to let you know that I had an individual-sized mixed berry cobbler, served warm with vanilla ice cream. It's what I had last year, too! 🙂 It's not as heavy as most of the cheesecakes and chocolate desserts they serve.
