What the Other Daughter Did

August 3, 2012 by Tracey 5 Comments

While one daughter was off for new adventures at camp this week, the other one was at home with me.  However, her life has been anything but dull.

She made her own “camp” in the playroom.

We shopped for new tennis shoes and ate a Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

There was a trip to the library and lunch at Chick-Fil-A (where I bought a milkshake for us to share during our long, but worthwhile, wait.)

A new friend came over to swim, play, and eat lunch.

We played Old Maid and Go Fish, took a family bike ride, stayed up a little late to watch the Olympics, and spent some extra time talking and snuggling.

While her days were spent closer to home, she’ll still have plenty to share when her sister comes home today!

Sounds like a wonderful time. It's so precious to get one on one time with our children.
