First Day of School 2012

August 17, 2012 by Tracey 6 Comments

Wednesday was the first day of our homeschooling year.  We’re starting a bit earlier than usual since we’re taking a week-long trip soon and I wanted to get ahead.

Okay, that picture is way too sweet. The one below probably depicts more accurately how they felt about starting a new school year!

It’s definitely hard to believe that I have a 6th grader and a 4th grader!!
We started bright and early on Wednesday and the girls did a great job of getting back into the swing of things.

Last weekend I found this cookie pops kit on clearance at Michaels.

The girls made these Wednesday afternoon as a special first-day-of-school treat.

Our first day of school went well, so here’s to another great year.

We are starting on Sept 3, but I have a 4 year old and this will be our first year. She is so excited, she can't stand it. 🙂 I hope her excitement about school will stay for a while.

Looks like your school year is off to a great start. Love the first day pics of your girls and those cookie pops are too cute. My girls start on Monday. Have a great school year.

We start school on Monday for this year on Monday. Of course, we've been doing school off and on all summer anyway, so it's not much of a transition for us. My kids are ready, but I'm not sure that I am.

The cake pops sound like a great idea to celebrate the first day of school.

Found your blog from another blog. (seems to work that way) I love it and look forward to reading. We like to do something special for our first day too. Haven't thought much about it yet this year since we have a daughter getting married on the 1st of Sept. Seems weddings is all I think about these days. She will be our second daughter to marry in 4 months!

    Take care,
    tricia
