Book Review: Building Family Ties with Faith, Love & Laughter by Dave Stone

June 21, 2012 by Tracey 1 Comment

I believe that having a joyful home is one of the best ways to ensure that our children desire to have our faith.  In Building Family Ties with Faith, Love and Laughter, Dave Stone gives some practical suggestions for creating joy in your family.

In this short book, the author includes a variety of ways to build family unity.  He encourages families to write a family mission statement, emphasizes the importance of eating meals together, and shows how to practice contentment. Dave Stone also deals with the benefits of service to others and celebrates loyalty to family members.

I appreciate how the author shares personal stories to illustrate his points.  The ideas he provides are practical and doable.  This is a quick, light read that will encourage you to strengthen your ties with your children through building traditions and molding moments of pleasure.

I was provided with a
complimentary copy of this book by Thomas Nelson Publishers. All of the opinions
expressed in this post are my own and I was not compensated for this review in
any other way.

This sounds like a good book, Tracey! I like the idea of a family mission statement ~ going to think on that more. Maybe, this would be a good title to bring along on our road trip in August!

Have a great rest of your week,
    Katie
