Saturday Salutes

November 19, 2011 by Tracey 1 Comment

Ready or not, Christmas will be here soon!  Tsh offers great advice on how to Plan Your Peaceful Christmas.

This idea for performing Random Acts of Christian Kindness during the Advent season is one I would love to implement.  Don’t know if I can pull it off for a whole month this year, but I think a week is doable!

When I saw the combination of flavors in Amy’s recipe, I knew these Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins would be a real treat.  (I did add a few tablespoons of milk to the batter as it seemed a bit dry, and they turned out moist and delicious.)

While we’re on the subject of food, I used up some extra broccoli in Christy’s Broccoli Salad.  It’s another keeper (that I’ll have to serve when my parents visit since no one else in my house will touch broccoli!)

If you ever blog, Facebook, or tweet about your children, read Jon Acuff”s 8 Words from my Five-Year-Old That Changed Social Media Forever.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I appreciated the post by Jon Acuff. I have taken pictures of my children specifically so I could post them on my blog. However, I also use my blog as a journal, kind of, and I'm afraid that if I didn't have a blog, I wouldn't take these pictures at all. I guess I need to find the perfect balance.
