This cute little critter has been turning up in strange places around our house.
The fun began when one sister slipped it under the other’s pillow before bedtime one night.
From there, it made various stops, including Dad’s pillow and my bathroom drawer, and it’s currently lurking on the side of the bathtub behind the shower curtain, waiting for an unsuspecting person to discover it.
Since this bug is a bit too colorful to be scary, hiding him in various places has been an unusual way to surprise each other throughout the day.
One of our goals as parents is for our home to be a happy, fun place to be. If that involves using a plastic bug from time to time, I’m all for it!
Do you have silly tricks you play on each other or games in which family members enjoy participating? I’d like to hear about them!
No tricks yet…since our girls are still little. However, we try as much as we can to have FUN as a family (even if it puts mom and dad out of their comfort zone).
Have a great day!
Oh, how I wish our bugs were bright and not "real" looking! Having boys they have a roach and snake that look real and they show up all over the house at different times. Just yesterday they came home with a "fake" vomit that they just love!! They love to hear Mom scream, then we all get a good laugh! Dad reminds me all the time to enjoy it because one day the house will be quiet and that snake and roach will be a precious memento…for now I look forward to the day they get lost! LOL!
What a fun idea! Our thing to do around here is sneak up on each other and the tickling begins! I will never get tired of hearing Madison giggle/laugh and seeing her smile 🙂
LOL! I live among pranksters including myself. My kids like putting fake bugs/lizards around. Hiding behind doors and popping out unexpectedly, etc, etc. 😀
haha I thought it was real at first!! My brother was a crazy pranxter and did stuff like that all the time. Being the big sister, I did not appreciate it! LOL
My mom used to play this trick with my boys when she'd come to visit. Thankfully I only live 20 min. away now.
When we'd visit my mom in the summer time, the boys would hide bugs, and play the trick back on her. Fun memories!!!
