Loving Your Sister

September 10, 2009 by Tracey 3 Comments

The Trix Swirls Gift Basket I won on a blog giveaway from Cheryl at Tidy Mom arrived on Tuesday afternoon, the first day of my 6-year-old’s illness. After I showed my girls what was in the box, my younger daughter returned to her spot on the couch to rest (and be pampered) and my 8-year-old asked in a whisper if she could use the new art supplies to make a picture to cheer her sister up.

She got to work and used the paints, colored pencils and pad of paper to create two lovely art projects to give to her sister.

While they definitely have their moments of disagreement, I don’t know what they would do without each other. I pray that they will continue to grow in their closeness and love for one another. Having a sister to stand by you through the ups and downs of life is a precious gift!

That is so sweet! I have a younger sister, but we have never been close. We are as different as night and day, LOL

I always and forever will believe that the greatest gift I've given my children is the gift of siblings.
