We’re reading about famous Americans this week in our summer learning program.
I found a picture book series of biographies by David A. Adler that I really like. The illustrations are quite attractive and the length of the story is perfect for my younger daughter. We chose the following people from the series to check out at the library.
Abraham Lincoln
Helen Keller
Benjamin Franklin
Paul Revere
Thomas Alva Edison

I am pleased with how we have kept up with our summer learning program these past two months. The one area that we have not done well with is the planned outings. So many other opportunities and activities have come up that we have not gone to several of the locations that I had planned. Maybe we can catch up on some of those later on – and in cooler weather!
