What’s on Your Table?

June 13, 2012 by Tracey 2 Comments

With all of our travels lately, we’ve been listening to a lot of cd’s in the car – a heavy dose of Adventures in Odyssey, with some music sprinkled in here and there.

One song I enjoy listening to is about how God answers the prayers we offer for one another.  My favorite line says,

“He’ll lay at your table the things best for you.”

What a comfort those words are to me!  They remind me that what I want may not always be what I need.  Yet I serve a God who knows what is best for me and who brings into my life the people and circumstances that will cause me to grow and become what I ought to be.

The trials I face are tailor-made for me, crafted by His love and covered in His grace.  What an amazing God we serve, one who is always faithful and ever worthy of our trust.

Amen!! Praise God. He IS indeed so faithful and good. This reminds me of one of my favorite hymns, "Not My Will, But Thine Lord". His ways are always best! Thanks for this encouragement today.
