Cultivating a grateful heart is something I hope to do for myself as well as our children. After reading 365 Thank Yous by John Kralik, I am challenging myself to express thanks in writing more often. While I typically write thank you notes for gifts and special acts of kindness, I want to go deeper than that.
Writing one thank you note a day, as the author of the book attempted, would be a wonderful challenge. However, I think it would become overwhelming for me in this season of life. Instead, I am purposing to write and mail or hand deliver a thank you note each Tuesday in 2012. I chose Tuesdays because I usually read Laura’s Gratituesday posts, so that should prompt me to get my weekly thank you note written. I’m hoping that this project will be a constant reminder of all the things for which I can be thankful.
Is there someone you can thank today?
