The question that’s been running through my mind lately is one that Saul asked on the road to Damascus. “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6)
So often we are faced with decisions in which we need wisdom and discernment. How thankful I am for James 1:5 and its admonition that “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
As I pray and seek that wisdom, I long for the peace of God to fill my heart and to know that He is leading me in a certain direction. Yet I must ensure that I am willing to do what He directs, not waiting to hear the answer that I want. When peace comes, I can rest, knowing that He will provide the strength and ability to live in the will He has made known.
