If you’ve ever watched one of the made-for-TV Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel – the kind with the every day characters whose lives are interrupted by some peculiar, magical event, which adds some suspense to the show, but still results in a predictable outcome – than this book is for you!
Because it’s written from a Christian perspective, the author references the spiritual condition of her characters. Since their backgrounds are completely different, it was interesting to see how they dealt with their family members. The scenes portrayed and the dialogue given were realistic and the people described were easy to relate to. This was a quick, entertaining read and, in a flight of fancy, perhaps a story like this might really take place during the Christmas season.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book by Waterbrook Multnomah. All of the opinions expressed in this post are my own and I was not compensated for this review in any other way.
