In reading Numbers 11 last week, I found Moses appearing to doubt whether God could keep His promise to provide flesh for all the children of Israel to eat. In verse 23, God replies to Moses, “Is the Lord’s hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.”
Am I to think, after all God has done for me in the past, that there is something now too difficult for Him? No! He “that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20) is still in the business of answering prayer.
Whether my request is for myself, my family, or some other situation, the Lord’s hand is not waxed short. He can answer my prayer, meet my need, in His power. May I be faithful, then stand amazed as I see Him work.
Has God answered prayer in your life lately? Are you currently asking Him to do something special on your behalf?
